Shirin NYC

Shirin NYC is a contemporary high-end street wear collection of hand screened pieces of wearable art. Shirin, the artist turned designer and t-shirt couturier, uses eco friendly and organic basics as her new canvas. Her pieces are purposefully designed to accentuate her screen-printing, done exclusively with environmentally safe inks that provide a soft transparent feel.

Shirin kids is a collection of 'miniature' designs that find their equivalent counterpart in the adult line—a delightful perk for mother and child.

The Shirin Philosophy

Each season, Shirin's inspiration is unearthed from her surroundings as is reflected in her overstuffed scrapbooks of quirky keepsakes and sentimental treasures acquired in her world travels. Shirin is passionate about designing her own prints and textiles—a signature the collection is known for—preferring to always keep craftsmanship high and production low, ensuring that each wearer has a quality piece that is truly original.  Every one of her pieces is individually hand silk-screened with environmentally safe inks, which create a soft transparent look that is complemented by pure and vibrant colors.

About Shirin Roubeni

Shirin's natural artistic ability brought her from Germany, where she grew up, to New York where she studied illustration at the Parsons School of Design. She then moved on to become versed in the techniques of printed textiles at the Royal College of Art in London. Painting Old Masters murals on friends' bedroom walls was Shirin's preferred outlet for her brimming creativity.

Now, Shirin Roubeni, is described by friends and colleagues as a t-shirt couturier and fine art fairy. With yet another collection under her belt, Shirin is expanding her repertoire, transforming what started as her experimenting with t-shirts in her parent basement, to a flourishing brand.
